Proverbs

A band for one night.

Proverbs began with a date on the calendar, not a plan to start a band.

In March 2025, Nico Castro had organized a show where he would perform alongside a musician friend from Buenos Aires. I was invited to open the night. I had songs of my own, but no band to play them with.

So I gathered the songs I had written up to that point and brought together my brother-in-law, his brother, and a friend. We formed Proverbs for one reason: to rehearse those songs and get on stage to open for Nico.

There was no bigger plan behind it. Just a show to play, a handful of songs, and the decision to make something of them together.
